Northumbria University, in collaboration with the EnterpriseADHD Institute, is conducting pioneering research examining the intersection of ADHD, Gender, and Entrepreneurship. This research explores how these identities interact to shape entrepreneurial pathways, innovation practices, and business creation among women with ADHD.

Our aim is to generate evidence-based insights that empower women to pursue entrepreneurship and forge careers on their own terms. By understanding the lived experiences of women ADHD entrepreneurs, we seek to challenge systemic barriers, inform policy, and create pathways that support women in building fulfilling and autonomous professional lives.

We are actively recruiting women (however you identify) entrepreneurs (however you identify) with ADHD (formally diagnosed or self-diagnosed) to participate in this research. What drove you to become an entrepreneur? What challenges did you face? What strengths did ADHD bring to your journey? Your experiences will contribute to a growing body of work that seeks to reshape understanding of female ADHD entrepreneurship and improve support systems for future generations.

This research pushes boundaries, challenges assumptions, and centres the voices of those who have been historically underrepresented in entrepreneurship research.
